Gail Raphael, M.D., M.S.

Dr. Raphael was born in Huntington Beach and raised in Long Beach, California.

She attended St. Joseph Elementary School and High School and graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of California, Irvine in 1997.

Following college, Dr. Raphael taught high school chemistry and physics for two years and then went on to earn a M.S. in Molecular and Medical Pharmacology from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2002.

After an additional year of research, she went to medical school and earned her M.D. with Distinction in Service and Distinction in Arts and Humanities from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine in 2006. Dr. Raphael completed psychiatric residency at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine in 2010. Dr. Raphael is a Board Eligible Psychiatrist with a license to practice medicine in the state of California.

Following residency, she worked as an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCI School of Medicine where she was a Core Teacher for Clinical Foundations I & II, Director of the Behavioral Science Curriculum, Lecturer for Art of Doctoring and Contributor to PLEXUS, The Journal of Arts and Humanities at UCI School of Medicine. She has been in private practice since 2010.
